Make-Up Helps Save Rainforest

The "New York Post" (December 4, 1996) reports that supermodel Christie Brinkley was selected to be the spokeswoman for Nu Skin International. She will be at the Woldorf on December 18th to give the first annual "Force for Good" lifetime-achievement to Dr. Paul Alan Cox. Dr. Cox, who is an ethnobotanist, has been advising cosmetic companies how to use plants from the rainforest in making their products. Part of the profits earned from sales will be going towards saving the rainforest.

Shaping Up

The "Daily News" (December 6, 1996) reports that Miami's Delano Hotel was a busy place during the Thanksgiving weekend. Supermodel Niki Taylor and celebrities Madonna and Martha Stewart took treatments at Aqua, the hotel's health spa, trying to burn off those extra helpings over the holiday!
