Special Olympics Benifit

Supermodels Rebecca Romijn and Tyra Banks were questioning the purchase of Dan Marino's football helmet, reported the "Daily News" (December 13, 1996). At the All-Star Cafe many sports and entertainment celebrities were present f or the first annual celebrity sports auction to benifit Special Olympics International. Whoopi Goldberg and the wonder kid of golf 1996, Tiger Woods also attended the gala affair.

The "New York Post" (December 13, 1996) reports that supermodel Christy Turlington has effectively resigned from the fashion scene, mainly due to influnces from her boyfriend Jason Patric. Turlington has been cancelling more and more of her engagements since she has been going out over the past year with "Sleepers' star . A source told the New York Post that Patric "thinks it's all stupid. He hates the fashion Cafe and he thinks Naomi, Linda (Evangelista) and Kate (Moss) are idiots." Turlington doesn't hang out with her co-workers and friends anymore. Her personal phone is now unlisted, and Patric has Turlington going back to school at NYU. Turlington stated last year that her runway days are over since she hasn't do ne the past couple of seasons, but she continues to do shots for Clavin Klein and Maybelline ads. She just did a cover for "Marie Claire" magazine. Six-months ago, she switched from Ford Models to United Talent Agency, and seems she is moving towards acti ng?!.
