Close Call for Claudia

The "Daily News" (November 11, 1996) reports that supermodel Claudia Schiffer was nearly sucked out of a small airplane over the Carribean the other day. This was not Claudia's first potential flight diaster. In 1990, while on an 11 city-tour f or Revlon, as she was traveling above St.Louis the smell a burning flesh entered the cabin. It turned out to be a bird that flew into the plane's engine; a pilot's nightmare. The plane had to turn around to make an emergency landing. All came out well, ho wever, but the crew could have used a little help from Revlon. They all needed some color for their pale, stricken faces.

Queen-Size Model

The "New York Post" (November 9, 1996) reports that model Ashley Richardson, the 6-foot blonde model who is a regular in the "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit issue, is now joining Plus Models. Ashley was the only Ford model with a D-cup size. She has been posing for Lane Bryant, Speigel, and Maria Rinaldi, the large-size division of Italian designer Max Mara. Size seems to run in the family. Ashley's two-year-old daughter is already a size 12.
