Bijou vs. Aviance

The "New York Post" (November 28, 1996) reports that supermodel Bijou Phillips and drag queen Ken Aviance had a verbal duel over a dressing room! A benefit was being held the other night at the Palladium for Love Heals AIDS charity. Bijo u battled with host Aviance over his customary dressing room saying she needed her privacy with eight of her girl friends. He just wanted a small piece of space to change when Bijou started to make a scene. Aviance schrieked, "Give it up, girl! This is my night still. You are just a quest here, I'm staying." The other models Beverly Peele,Tracey Ross, Eve and actress Elisa Donovan were happy sharing space downstairs. Bijou continued throughout the evening with her usual bratty ways.

These designers and brands have donated thousands of items of apparel (men's, women's and children's) and accessories to Fashion Rescue. This discounted shopping spree starts at the Sheraton on November 24, 1996. Fashion Rescue started during the Gulf War to help refugees. They now donate 88 cents of every dollar towards fighting AIDS, as well as breast and ovarian cancer.
