Heidi Surfs the Mountain
Heidi Klum (pictured) had heads turning at the recent Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York. She also had heads turning as she tried her luck snow boarding recently at Big Bear Mountain. She accepted the challenge from "Extra" to take some boa
rding lessons. German and athletic, Heidi skis like a pro, but snow boarding requires rather more dexterity and she didn't find the going easy at first. "Snow boarding is a crazy sport," she grinned, "a lot of fun and different from skiing." When the trai
l became too steep and narrow, Heidi simply slipped out of the board and walked down the mountain until she was on more level terrain. Looking up at her companion, another neophyte, who was still trying to make it all the way to the bottom on the board, s
he teased, "I'm getting down faster walking than you are boarding."
