More Fur FlyingYou can't say that the folks at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) play favorites or waver on who represents their cause. One of their biggest names, Naomi Campbell, just got the boot from the animals' rights group. The "New York Po st" reports that the head of PETA, Dan Matthews, just fired Naomi because she was caught wearing fur at a Milan fashion show this past weekend. Naomi had appeared in the infamous "nude model" ad campaign for PETA. It comprised a photograph of a han dful of naked supermodels sitting under text that read, "We'd rather go naked than wear fur." This not the first time Naomi's been caught in fur on the catwalk. The first time she claimed that she didn't know it was the real thing. Matthews, who wrote to Campbell to explain her dismissal, huffed, "I don't know what you're taking, but it's not an ethics course." |
