Simple and ElegantThis year's Oscars proved to be a very glamorous affair. Just about everyone was dressed to the tee in simplicity and elegance. Even Courtney Love left her personal grunge duds at home for the more feminine look with the help of fashion designer < b>Versace. She wore a white satin, semi-plunging neckline, full-length gown. To accent her neckline, she wore a diamond pear-shaped princess necklace and earrings from Martin Katz. Brenda Blethyn, Best Actress nominee was exquisitely dre ssed in Giorgio Armani. Her jewelry was outstanding. A bedazzling diamond necklace (122 karats) with canary, pear-shaped pendant (13 karats), an emerald cut, canary diamond ring (10 karats) and matching earrings with two canary diamonds (5 karats) from Harry Winston won her the unofficial Oscar for Best Jewelry. The gentlmen, all in their eclectic tuxes -- except for those daring few who stepped out of tradition -- tried their best to compete. "Sling Blade" 's, Billy Bob Thornton wore a splashy dinner jacket and Ole Oprey ribbon tie that made him look like a distinguished plantation owner. Dennis Rodman, of course, stole the show. He wore a blue brocade jacket with a top hat. Naturally, he did his eyes up with blue eye shadow and his nails in a bronze shade! |
