Elite Holds 1997 Model Look ContestIt was a pretty exciting day with a lot of dreams on the line. Model hopefuls lined up around the block at the Fashion Cafe in New York for the start of this year's Elite Model Look contest. Each year, Elite Models embarks on a global search for the next big supermodel. This year, Elite will search for that new face in 100 U.S. cities and in numerous other metropolises around the world. The U.S. finals will be held at Fashion Cafe in mid-August. The world finals will be held in Nice, France a few days later. Not only is stardom in the offing for the lucky winner, but guaranteed contracts worth $900,000 are as well.
