The Staley-Wise Gallery, 560 Broadway in New York, was the scene for The Fords: Fifty Years in Fashion, which was held on April 1st to help mark the 50th anniversary of Ford Models. Celebrated mannequins, together with many of those who photographe d them, gathered to reminisce and look nostalgically at walls covered by photographs of famous Ford models. The pictures were from the 1940's through the 1990's.

Models in attendance were: Basia, Carmen (who was active from the 40's through the 80's), Fabienne, Irina Pantaeva, Tamiko and Patricia Velasquez, among others. Collectively, they, and the many others represented by the agency, helped make Ford Models one of the biggest and best-known agencies in the world.

The show was well attended by both models and photographers. Eileen and Katie Ford hosted the event, which was both festive and amusing, as can be seen in the photo of Katie, Tamiko and Fabienne above.
