Classic Glass There are times when glass is the right material for the job. The Classic Glass Fenglass rod shaft combines awesome power in the butt with a smooth-deflecting tip. Freshwater Fishing Rods
Fenwick introduced
the first graphite fishing rods in 1973. The history of this
remarkable material-its uses and misuses-dates from that
time. Graphite was enthusiastically welcomed by
knowledgeable anglers who tried it and liked it. Of course,
there were a few skeptics; but they were soon won over.
Strong lightweight graphite became the most widely used
material in rodmaking and established Fenwick in its
position as the leading innovator in fishing. It is doubtful
if any other rod has surpassed the record of HMG for
reliability and performance.
Twenty five years ago, Fenwick
introduced the first graphite fishing rod. Today, we have
reinvented the way rods are built with the introduction of
the HCG Hard Core series of graphite spinning rods and
Triggerstiks. HCG Hard Core rods are built in the USA.
Unlike ordinary rods that are hollow, HCG Hard Core rods
feature a patent-pending concentrated graphite core wrapped
with high-modulus graphite action fibers.
