Steven Mulak

Steven Mulak has been making up stories and selling them to outdoor magazines for the past 20 years. His articles on dogs and upland hunting have appeared in Sports Afield, Outdoor Life, Gray's Sporting Journal, and Gun Dog magazines.

He recently authored the book "Pointing Dogs Made Easy: How to Train, Nurture, and Appreciate Your Bird Dog," a volume that draws on his more than three decades of trying to make the perfect hunting dog. An earlier work, "Brown Feathers," collected many of his upland hunting tales.

In addition to his writing, Mulak is an artist who has illustrated both of his published books and sells limited edition prints of his work. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and a kennelful of dogs, and has two daughters now out of college.
