Michael McIntosh is considered by many as this country's premier authority, and most eloquent spokesman, on fine shotguns.
A former English professor, McIntosh's articles have been published in most of the major sporting magazines and his books have become modern-day classics in the field. In addition to fine shotguns, McIntosh has written about upland hunting, wildlife art, big-bore rifles, and natural history.
He is the author of the recently released "Shotguns and Shooting, as well as "Best Guns," one of the most popular shotgun books ever written. His definitive work "A. H. Fox" has been praised as a landmark book on shotguns as well as an engaging portrait of a unique American entrepreneur. He is also the author of "The Big-Bore Rifle," several books done in conjunction with leading wildlife artists, and the editor of "Robert Ruark's Africa."
McIntosh is also the contributing editor and shotgunning columnist for Sporting Classics, gun-review columnist for Shooting Sportsman, shooting editor of Gun Dog, contributing editor of The Double Gun Journal, and contributing writer for Wildlife Art News.
