Uniden America Corporation has announced the availability of HH 940, the industry's first wearable waterproof, two-way VHF marine radio.
Weighing only 8.8 ounces, this waterproof radio has withstood high-velocity water impact tests up to 50 mph. It has a suggested list price of $314.99.
The HH 940's waterproof construction protects again the harshest marine conditions and is designed to reduce the possibility of saltwater corrosion. With advanced technology, the HH 940 provides reliable high-power performance with maximum sound output and insures fracture resistance under virtually any usage requirement.
The HH 940 is equipped with all USA and International marine channels and incorporates a triple watch feature, allowing users to continually observe emergency channels 16 and 9 while monitoring a third selectable channel. Users may also simultaneously activate the weather alert feature which periodically refers to the NOAA weather service to monitor inclement conditions.
