Numerical simulation of one Mediterranean cyclogenesis case is done by the step-mountain eta coordinate model generally known as the Eta model. The experiment is performed using the forecasting system operational running at the Yugoslav Meteorological Institute. Also, the experiment with the mesoscale Eta model nested into the operational regional model is performed in order to analyze the influence of various scales.
