Flood information in different cities of catalan coast (Girona, Barcelona, Tortosa) have been recorded from documentary sources during one period of a half milenium (14th to 20th centuries). According to the rainfall upper 50 mm in 24 hours or river floods like events statistically rares in 1 and 5 year periods respectivelly, it is possible to verify empiric series adjustment employing Poisson distribution. The goodness of adjustments is showed in studied events. The exceptions can show non-homologable criteria in documentary records or climatic oscillations.
