In the frame of the Mediterranean Cyclones and Adverse Weather Phenomena (M.C. and A.W.P.) Study Project, the Steering Group has been preparing the corresponding Methodologies. These Methodologies comprise the goals and objectives of this Study Project, then, the current theories, hypotheses and observations concerning the M.C. and A.W.P., the geographical and climatological features of the Mediterranean area, the basic documentation which should be formed, as well as the classification, numerical simulation and forecasting of the M.C. and A.W.P. The basic concept of these Methodologies has been here presented.
