The Shofar, which appears in this print is the ram's horn which is blown on Rosh Hashanah to call Jews to return to God. On Yom Kippur it is sounded to mark the end of the fast. This symbol is found in the centre of this print. We also see the torso of a man dressed in his tallit, and another man studying. Finally, in the upper left hand corner, the symbols of Succot, the Succah, and the four species also appear to remind us that Succot follows on after the High Holydays.
