The Tempo Window can be accessed by left-clicking on the words "Tempo (BPM):" on the Beat Design page, left-clicking on the current tempo value ("180" in the screen shot), or from the main menu -> View -> Tempo.
The Tempo Window displays the current tempo (in beats per minute) and shows the length in samples and seconds that the tempo will provide for each beat and the entire page.
The tempo can be set anywhere from 48 beats per minute up to 800 beats per minute. If the user wishes to work with slower time, it is possible to set the tempo to 48 and then only use some of the beats. For examples, using every other beat will produce a tempo of 24, every four beats a tempo of 12, every eight beats a tempo of 6, and so forth.
