Converting Image Types
You can easily convert images to a different type. Simply click the "Select
1 Image" button or "Select Entire Folder" button. (To select an entire folder, just choose any image in
the folder you wish to use, and the entire folder will be selected as long as
you clicked the "Select Entire Folder" button)
Use the "Convert To Different Image Type" option to keep images the
same width and height, but convert to a different type. (For example, convert
bitmaps to jpeg). You can do an entire directory at a time, or just do 1 image
at a time. If you select an entire folder, after converting you will see a new
results window, listing all the files that were successfully converted. They
will be converted with the same name, except a different extension. For example,
if you convert gif images to jpeg images, a file named myfile.gif will create
a file named myfile.jpg, and it will be created in the folder listed on your
screen.
You will notice that evertime you save a jpeg image, an option window will appear
to adjust the compression level. This is a nice advantage of this software,
as you can alter the jpeg compression level to get more quality or save more
space. The lower the compression you choose, the larger the image size but better
the quality. The higher the compression, the smaller the image but the less
quality the image picture.
