Diode kit for high end TVs and monitors

Specially designed for the horizontal deflection stage of standard and high resolution video displays with E/W correction, the DMV32A and DMV32B from SGS-THOMSON provide two high performance power diodes connected in series and housed in a compact TO220I isolated power package that offers easy handling, good thermal performance and full UL recognition. By combining the damper diode and modulator diode in a single 3-pin package, the new devices reduce PCB area and component count in high end TV sets (100Hz, 16:9 aspect ratio) and 14-17 inch VGA/XGA monitors.

The DMV32A (for 38kHz sets) and DMV32B (for 56kHz) use the popular and well proven 1500V/6A DTV32A/B damper diodes, while the modulation diode in each case is an ultrafast SSTB506D TurboswitchÖ diode. Designed for high pulsed current operation, this 600V/5A diode has 95ns maximum reverse recovery time and a forward voltage drop of just 1.2V, as well as soft switching for low noise operation..

Assembled on a highly automated TO220I production line, the DMV32A/B offer excellent quality and reliability, thanks to SGS-THOMSON's long experience in this power packaging technology.
