About the Country interface functions
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Expand Library has a special section dedicated to the DOS support
for various countries. Generally, this will be your Computer's current
country, as installed in CONFIG.SYS (or the US when omitted). The interface
to the DOS country functions requires DOS 3.30 at the least, although
most of the functions work from DOS 3.00 and on.
The main function, XPcountry(), enables you to set the Country, which will
be active also when your program QUITs, so it is a good idea to save
the current country, and restore it when wished.
Note that, when NLSFUNC is not installed, there is generally only
support for the current country, but then, that is often enough.
The routines in this section make it possible to make true internationally
oriented applications, with few botherings. The Date, Time, Currency and
many other formats can be set automatically, without user-fuss.
I wonder if the new versions of DOS will know Croatia, Slovenia, the Baltic
states and the states of the Commonwealth of Independant States and other
countries popping up here and there these days.
