For setting the Client parameters use item "Setup" from the main menu or address book menu.

In the setup menu are available the next items:

Desktop refresh - With this item you can change the remote desktop refresh rate. Refresh rate is specified in milliseconds value from 0 to 9999. Value 0 is disabling auto refresh. In this case you can refresh the desktop manually from desktop mode menu. Increasing this value you can reduce data traffic, but the time interval between changes of remote desktop will be increasing. Value by default 2000 msec.


Desktop mode -

The "Full screen mode" (disabled by default) removes system information panels at top and bottom of the screen and increases useful area for a desktop screenshot. This mode is applied to many model of mobile phones as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and others.


Before enabling this mode, you must assign a control keys "Select" and "Menu". Without assigning of these keys it will be impossible to operate in full screen mode. See below - how to assign a keys.



The "Proportional desktop" mode (disabled by default) turn off the full remote screen to mobile phone screen scaling. You can see the full remote screen in original ratio, but only part of mobile phone screen will be used. It is applicable only for full screen mode.

The "Auto scroll" mode (enabled by default) turn on auto scrolling a magnified part of remote desktop when the mouse cursor reach a border of screen.

The "Bottom screen offset" value (by default 0) is decreasing height of the screen. It can be applicable on some mobile phones on which screen key title will hide the bottom part of screen (for example, on some Motorola phones).

Desktop palette - This item is defining color palette used at transferring a picture of remote desktop. By default used 8 bits palette (256 colors). Decreasing the palette value you can reduce the data traffic and make faster refresh of the desktop, but a picture of screen will be degraded. For best quality pictures with fast GPRS connection, you can try to use a 24 bits palette (true color).


Assign keys - You can assign the device-specific key to functions "Left mouse click" and "Zoom In" in a desktop mode (key "Select"). After that, you can use these functions by one key click, without using menu.

Besides, for a full screen mode you must assign a key "Menu" for opening a menu of control commands.

Select a key for assigning and press the device key "Select" or "Menu" to assign a key for these functions. To reset a key assigning, use an item "Clear".

   


Message mode - This item is defining output mode of the lists and mode of displaying a text.


Security - The "Encrypt picture" mode (enabled by default) turn on encrypting a picture of remote screen transferred to your mobile phone. You can disable this mode on slow (old) devices for an acceleration of repaint desktop. It will not affect security of work with your computer in any case.

Note: Without dependence from this mode, in any case, will be encrypted all commands, all answers and all system data transferred between the Client and the Server.

Startup password - Using this item you can set the password at start of program. You can't start the program not knowing this password.


File system - Use this item to manually select file system on mobile phone. Usually mobile phone file system will be autodetecting.




Connection - In a Blackberry client you can select type of connection - direct access to Internet through a TCP/IP stack or using of BES/MDS service.
