Changing the crosshairs options

In the Options dialog box, on the Crosshairs tab, you can control how the crosshairs display. To help you differentiate the x-, y-, and z-axes, a different color is assigned to each. You can change the default axes colors to any color you want. In addition, you can specify the size of the crosshairs display, enable grips attraction for the cursor, and you can choose to use crosshairs as the default pointer shape.

To change the crosshairs options

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. Click the Crosshairs tab.
  3. Under Axis Color, for each axis, click Color and select a color from the palette, and then click OK.
  4. Under Cursor Size, enter a number for the percentage of the screen to be used by the crosshairs cursor, or use the up and down arrows to scroll to the number.
  5. If you want the pointer to always display as the crosshairs (instead of the small box), select the Pointer Defaults To Crosshairs check box.
  6. Under Enable Grips Attraction, click to move the crosshairs automatically to grips within a certain range. Higher points increase the range of the attraction.
  7. When you have finished, click OK.
