Detaching raster images

Once an image is no longer required in the drawing, you can detach it from the drawing. Detaching an image removes it from the drawing, and from the Image Management dialog box.

If you want to remove the image from your drawing, but you want it to remain accessible without having to find it again, use the Delete command, just as you would delete other entities. The file is deleted from the drawing, but is kept in the Image Management dialog box.

To detach a raster image

1. Do one of the following:
   • Choose Image Enabler > Image Management.
   • On the Image Enabler toolbar, click the Image Management tool ().
   • Type iemanage and then press Enter.
2. Select the file you you want to remove, and then click Detach.
