Seagate simplifies installation
of Seagate ATA and SCSI drives as additional storage
with its exclusive Windows-based disc drive installation
program. This software also overcomes certain legacy
BIOS and operating system limitations that can complicate
the installation of higher-capacity ATA (IDE) interface
drives. DiscWizard Suite includes DiscWizard Starter
Edition, a DOS based program, to help build a new
single drive system and a copy of the SeaTools diagnostic
utility.

SeaTools
Disc Diagnostic |
|
DOS
|
 |
Diagnostic utility software that helps determine whether system problems are drive-based or due to some other hardware or software problem. SeaTools is designed to reduce drive returns, decrease drive repair costs, and protect data.
The physical tests of SeaTools
are data-safe and compatible with all PC operating
systems. SeaTools Disc Diagnostic uses its own
bootable floppy and is therefore compatible with
any PC with a 386 or greater processor and 8 Mbytes
of memory.
The FAT32 file structure tests of SeaTools are
compatible with Windows XP, Me, 2000, 98 and 95.
If you are running Windows XP, 2000, NT or OS/2,
SeaTools will not test NTFS or HPFS partitions.

This
utility was written to allow DOS and Windows users to manipulate
some of the power management features, also know as "green"
