Xara Webster - Annotating Clipart Scrolls
You can overlay text onto the scrolls supplied with Xara Webster.
The design of even the curved scrolls allow for a line of text
of at least 16pt size.
To add text
- Import the scroll from the clipart gallery.

- Select the Text Tool.
- Click on the scroll where you want the text to start.
- Type in the text.

To align the text
If you want the text aligned with the center of the scroll, you
can:
- Select both the text and the scroll.
- Open the Alignment dialog box using Alignment on the Arrange
menu.
- Choose Align Centrally for Horizontal Position.
- Click Apply then click Close.

- Because of the design of the scrolls, you need to adjust the
vertical alignment manually.
Tips
- We suggest you now group the text and scroll so you can move them
as one object. Select both the text and the scroll and then choose
Group from the Arrange menu.
- If you want to move the letters up and down so they follow the shape of
the scroll more accurately you can do this by selecting a single letter
by CTRL-clicking on it and altering the Baseline Shift setting using the
Text Tool.
