Xara Webster - Creating Images for Xara's Plugin

If you downloaded Xara Webster from the Internet:

 Also available as a download is a new compact version of Xara's Web Plugin for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

If you have the CD:

Included on the CD is a new compact version of Xara's Web Plugin for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

At time of writing, development of this plug-in is incomplete and two features are not yet implemented. These are:

  • Blends (only the start and end objects are displayed).
  • Text (text is not displayed).
If you create images in Xara Webster that you want to display using this plugin, you should save the image like this:
  1. Choose Save on the File menu. This opens the Save dialog box.
  2. Click the Options button on this dialog box. This opens the Options dialog box.
  3. Check Convert Text to Outlines and Convert Blends to Outlines. (The default is these options checked.)
  4. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
  5. Save the file as normal.
We hope to complete development within the next few weeks. An updated version of the plug-in will be available as a free download from here.
