Xara Webster - Clipart Using Connected Colors
Many of the items of Clipart on the Xara web site you can download
using the Web Clipart button in the Clipart Gallery use 'connected
colors' so all the different shades of a color are connected together
so changing one of them changes them all. This means you can load
a piece of clipart and easily change its color with a few mouse clicks.
The three banner bitmaps here were all created using Xara Webster from a single
piece of clipart (to find out how to make bitmaps like these yourself using
Xara Webster, see Creating a Button Bitmap).
To Change a Connected Color
- Load a clipart file using connected colors
- From the Utilities menu, choose Color Gallery
- In the section of the gallery for the drawing you have loaded, you'll see the
connected color(s).
- To edit a connected color, click it and click the Edit button in
the gallery or drag it to the Color Editor.
Tip
- If you want more than one copy of a piece of clipart in your
drawing and you want them to be different colors, import the first copy,
change its color and import the file again. You can then change the colors
of the two copies independently.
