Internet Service Users Page

Purpose

This page lets you enable or disable the Internet Mail Service for any OfficeTalk user. Once enabled, the appropriate settings may be specified.

When one OfficeTalk user sends mail to another OfficeTalk user in the usual way, the OfficeTalk Mail Service is used by default. This is not a restriction. You may choose to send mail to a particular user using any of the mail services that are enabled for that user. Setting up a user to use the Internet Mail Service as the default mail transport is particularly useful in mirrored workgroups when you wish to send mail to a user who you know to be a remote user, and believe that sending by mail using the Internet Mail Service would be faster or more appropriate. This page lets you specify the Internet Mail Service as the default mail service for one or more users.

Usage

Enable the Internet Mail Service for an OfficeTalk user by checking the check box next to the appropriate user. You can disable the service for that user by un-checking the check box. Once enabled, you may specify the settings for that user by selecting the user from the list and pressing the Settings... button. This will display the User property sheet from which you may specify further settings.

You may set up one or more users to use the Internet Mail Service as their default mail transport by selecting the relevant users from the list and pressing the Default button.
