Internet Service Address Page

Purpose

OfficeTalk lets you define multiple e-mail addresses for the same e-mail account and lets you assign each e-mail address to a different user. Each address comprises of a unique mailbox name followed by an '@' character followed by the domain part of the address (which we will refer to as the workgroup address). For example, two possible e-mail addresses may be as follows:

john@sareen.com

sue @sareen.com

These addresses are of the form: mailbox@workgroupaddress

This page lets you specify the workgroup address part of your workgroup e-mail address.

Usage

In the Workgroup Address field, enter the workgroup address part of your e-mail address, for example mycompany.com or myorg.org or ukcomp.co.uk.

If mail sent to other addresses gets re-routed to this mailbox then it can, in some cases, arrive addressed to an e-mail address whose workgroup address part does not match the text entered into the Workgroup Address field. For example, mail to a particular company may come in as either postmaster@mycompany.com or postmaster@mycompany.co.uk. In this case, mycompany.com should be entered into the Workgroup Address field and mycompany.co.uk should be added as an 'Other Address'. This may be done by pressing the New… button and entering the other workgroup address into the Name field of the Address dialog box which will be displayed.
