Because most website owners do not host their own sites (have their own local web servers), it is usually necessary to upload the pages that comprise your website to your web hosting provider. When you upload files, it is the exact opposite as a download. Instead of transferring a file from a remote computer to yours, you are transferring a file from your computer to another. The web hosting provider usually has folder on their computer that is assigned to your website. Be sure to upload your files to your specific folder(s).
AddWeb offers you the ability to send your web pages to your web server through File Transfer Protocol (FTP). If you are using Microsoft FrontPage, You will not be using AddWeb's FTP feature for uploads. Use the uploading feature built into FrontPage.
If you have filled in the FTP settings fields in AddWeb in the Profiles section, you can easily fill in the required information for FTP by clicking on the "Populate from Profile" button.
