Writing a letter | ||
TCM allows you to write a customised letter to anyone in the database. From the Filing screen, Diary, To-Do or Table screens, right-click on a company or contact and choose Write a letter from the menu which appears. TCM will give you a choice of letters which you have specificed in Setup. To add letter to the list of choices, click File Setup - Write a letter. Normally in a business environment you send out standard letters, such as cover letters for a brochure or letters to confirm a future appointment. You should create these letters through TCM (using a word processor such as Microsoft Word®) which will allow you to embed mail-merge fields in your letter. Then, when you right-click to write a letter to Jennifer Cox for example, the letter will be customised for Jennifer. You might also want to create a blank letter with just your company logo which you can use for on-the-fly letters. When you write a letter to someone it is filed in the relevant folders.
