Adding to the database | ||
The TCM database is mde up of Windows folders, there is one folder for each contact or company. When you add a new entry to the database, TCM will form a folder for that contact and give it a unique number. | ||

Note: It is important that you never move, delete, rename or add folders through Windows Explorer. TCM provides methods for performing all these functions without the need to use Explorer, as this will result in database errors, search problems and so on. | |
To add a new contact or company to the database, you should: • Open the Filing screen • Highlight an existing folder in which you want to create the contact or company |

• Click to create a new Company, Family or Contact You can then enter details for the new contact and when you choose OK TCM will create a folder for that person or company. Click here to open the Filing screen |
