FTP Login Information
Populate
This button will automatically fill out the fields with the FTP Server information directly from a saved Profile.
Login
This button will tell AddWeb 6 to establish a connection with the FTP server selected.
Logout
This button will disconnect you from the FTP Server you are currently connected to.
FTP Server
This is the URL name of the FTP server. i.e. ftp.cyberhq.com
Port
Different types of connections use different 'Ports'. The default port for a normal web server is 80 and the default port for an FTP Server is 21
User Name
Logins to FTP Servers require a name and password. This is the name field for login.
Password
Logins to FTP Servers require a name and password. This is the password field for login.
Proxy
No Proxy
In most cases, you will not need a Proxy server. This will, most likely, be true if you are connecting from home through a single computer connection (Dialup, DSL, Cable...).
Passive
Some Proxy Servers allow connection out through them for uploads without a strict Login. If this is the case with your connection, select this.
Proxy
Some Proxy Servers require logins for any activity with the internet. Select this if this is the case with your connection.
Proxy Server
This is location of the Proxy Server you connect to the Internet through. Either IP address or named address. Your Network Administrator will tell you this information if you do not know.
Proxy Port
This is the Port your Proxy Server uses to allow connections through it. If you do not know your proxy port number, please contact your LAN or Network Administrator.
Login Required
If you need to Login to your proxy server for uploading with FTP, check this option. Some proxy servers allow you to perform actions through the internet just so you go through them for monitoring. Please ask your Network Administrator form more information.
Proxy User Name
If Login to your proxy server is required for FTP Uploads, enter your Login Name here. If you are sure what your Proxy User Name is, ask your Network Administrator.
Proxy Password
If Login to your Proxy Server is required for FTP Uploads, enter your Login Password here. If you are not sure what your Proxy Password is, please ask your Network Administrator.
