Link Trader

Link Trader allows you to exchange links from other AddWeb 6 users to your website and vice versa. A link to your site from an existing listed website will make your new listings faster and higher and your existing listings more valuable.

Important Note: Link Trader, while very web based, is not designed to run on through your regular browser. There are a number of areas that are VERY dependent on AddWeb to function properly. Do Not use Link Trader through your normal browser.

Once you create your Link Trader account, you will be presented with a few options.

Find Trades

There are five search options here to locate links that you may wish to trade with. You may Search By Top Sponsored Links, 100 Newest, 100 Most Popular, Category (the same category listing found in Profile Setup) or Country. Depending on your needs, one of these searches should locate good links for you to trade with.

Verify Trades

Here you can select one of your Link Trader accounts and verify the trading you have done with it.
Once you do, you can verify the existence of the other pages, verify that your link is found on their link page and/or cancel the trade. If your link is not found on the other link page, you can warn or cancel the other account.

Check Mail

This internal messaging system will allow you to communicate with the other traders. Your accepted and declined trading messages will be posted here along with other short messages to the people you are trading with.

Edit Links

Here, you will be able to modify your existing links or add new ones.

Build Page

The Build Page section allows you to create the link pages to post on your site. Once you have successfully traded links with others, go here and create the page to post on your site.

The Sponsored Listings seem to be the largest point of confusion. These are pay-per-view listings, much like Overture or Looksmart. You may pre-purchase bidding credit for positioning your link into the top listings. The first three sponsored links appear on every Find Trades page. You will find that one of these positions will see rapid requests for trades.
