Internet Search Overview

With Internet Search, you can see exactly what the search engines are doing. Sometimes a direct perusal of the search engine results can provide you with information not readily available from the Ranking feature.

Internet Search
Both General and URL Searches will launch your default web browser to display your results.

Either type of search can be performed for a Profile as well as a manually entered search Phrase or URL.

A General Search looks for exactly what you enter in the keywords or URL to search for field. This will bring you to the same results that you would get if you entered the phrase into the search field on the search engines main page. If you are familiar with the more advanced searches on these engines (Exact Match searching puts quotes around the phrase), you can perform them here as well.

A URL search will look for the URL you enter using the URL search commands for the search engine you select.

Manual searching means you enter the search Phrase into the keywords or URL to search for field.

A Profile Search means you select a Profile from the Profiles list. The submission URL will automatically populate the keywords or URL field and if you want to select a keyword from the Profiles list instead of the URL, just select it from the Selected Profiles keywords list.
