FTP Settings


In order to get your web pages to your web server, and FTP upload is typically used. If you are using FrontPage to create your website, you will not likely need to fill this information out.

FTP Login Info
Server Name
This is the FTP server that uploads for this Profile will be sent to. i.e. ftp.cyberhq.com

User Name

This is the login name for the FTP server above. This is typically required for uploads to web servers.

Password

This is the login password for the FTP server above. This is typically required for uploads to web servers.

Port Number

This is the Port number associated with the FTP server you will upload to. Typically this number is 21.

Add Directory Path

This is the remote directory on the FTP server that you wish to upload to by default. This will look like: /mywebsite/ and would appear in conjunction with the full FTP path like: ftp://ftp.cyberhq.com/mywebsite/


FTP Proxy Options
If you are using a Proxy Server for connections to the Internet, you will need the following settings and should contact your Network Administrator if you have problems with proxy connections.

I Do Not Need a Proxy

In most cases, you will not need a Proxy server. This will, most likely, be true if you are connecting from home through a single computer connection (Dialup, DSL, Cable...).

I Need a Passive Connection

Some Proxy Servers allow connection out through them for uploads without a strict Login. If this is the case with your connection, select this.

I Need to Connect Through a Proxy Server

Some Proxy Servers require logins for any activity with the internet. Select this if such is the case with your connection.

Proxy Server

This is location of the Proxy Server you connect to the Internet through. Either IP address or Named address. Your Network Administrator will tell you this if you do not know.

Proxy Port

This is the port your Proxy Server uses to allow connections through it. Please ask your Network Administrator for this information as it required for FTP uploads.

I Need to Login to the Proxy Server


If you need to login to your Proxy server for uploading through FTP, check this option. Some Proxy Servers allow you to perform actions through the internet just so you go through them for monitoring. If you are not sure about what to enter, please ask your Network Administrator for more information

Proxy User Name

If login to your Proxy Server is required for FTP uploads, enter your login name here. If you are not sure about what to enter, please ask your Network Administrator for more information

Proxy Password
If login to your Proxy Server is required for FTP uploads, enter your login password here. If you are not sure about what to enter, please ask your Network Administrator for more information
