AddWeb 4 is designed to make submission as fast and easy as possible. In this light, You may select a default list of search engines that this profile will submit to.
Select Search Engines
Only Show Selected Engines
This option filters from view any engines you have not selected, displaying only the engines you have selected for submission
Find Engine
If there is a particular search engine or directory you wish to locate in the engines database, enter the name or partial name here. i.e. If you are looking for Yahoo!, you can enter Yah and all search engines that include 'yah' in their names will be displayed.
Available Search Engines
This is a 'Tree View' of all search engines in the available list. If you have opted to view only selected engines then you will not see any unselected search engines in this view.
Total
This is the total number of search engines available for submission.
This is the total number of search engines currently selected for next submission session.
Engines in Selected List
This is the total number of search engines within the currently highlighted search engine Group. For example, there are currently 17 engines within the group called "Major Search Engines" (This number will likely change as engines are added or deleted).
Select All
This will select all of the search engines and directories in the current engine database.
Select New
This will select all search engines and directories that have been added to the list during the last Automatic Search Engine Update.
History Filter
This will give you options for advanced filtering. Such as, selecting All Failed engines from this Profile's last submission.
Save as a List
This will allow you to save your selected search engines as a List that can be applied to other Profiles as well as the Profile you are currently working on.
Delete Selected List
This will permanently remove a saved list of search engine selections. The engines themselves will not be deleted from the database, but the reference to that list will be deleted.
Clear Selection
This will de-select all search engines.
Currently Highlighted Search Engine Details
Each search engine has its' own rules or limits that directly affect your submissions. Some can only be submitted to once, others may only accept submissions from certain countries or regions. These rules are considered for every submission AddWeb 4 makes and will directly affect your individual results.
Search Engine
This is the name of the search engine you are currently viewing data for.
Total Number of Submissions
This is the number of submissions you have made to this search engine using AddWeb 4. This is not limited to submissions for a specific Profile, rather total submissions to the search engine using your current install of AddWeb 4.
Successful Submissions
This is the number of successful submissions you have made to this search engine using AddWeb 4. This is not limited to submissions for a specific Profile, rather total successful submissions to the search engine using your current install of AddWeb 4.
Failed Submissions
This is the number of failed submissions you have made to this search engine using AddWeb 4. This is not limited to submissions for a specific Profile, rather total failed submissions to the search engine using your current install of AddWeb 4.
Delete From Database After
This search engine will automatically be deleted from the search engine list in AddWeb 4 if consecutive Failures to it reach this number.
Maximum Submissions
Some search engines request that you limit submissions to them to one time only. They have their own means of monitoring your website and do not want submissions for websites they already list. a 0 in this field means this limit does not apply to this search engine.
Can Submit Every
This is the frequency that the search engine in question will accept submissions for a single website. Most major search engines accept submissions every 30 days, but this number can vary greatly throughout the search engine list.
Characters
Some search engines only allow for limited length of keywords, Description and/or Title. The limit in characters (if applicable) is listed here.
Words
Some search engines only allow for limited number of words in your keywords, Description and/or Title. The word limit is listed here.
Content Allowed
Each website has a different focus.
A Commercial website offers a product or service either for pay or free.
A Personal website offers information typically relating to a person. Personal sites may include resumes.
MLM websites are any website relating to Multi-Level Marketing. Some search engines are focused in this area while others restrict listings from these sites.
Adult websites are any website that contains information that may not be suitable for younger viewers.
Submissions Are Posted
This is the amount of time you can expect to wait before seeing your website listed with this search engine.
Nationalities Allowed
This displays the Countries that this search engine will accept submissions from. Some search engines prefer localized listings.

This is a brief description of this search engine. This is only used if there is something particular to this search engine that may not be listed above.
