Using Shortcut Menus

You can display convenient shortcut menus when you right-click in different areas of the screen. Different shortcut menus are displayed when you right-click

• Within the AutoCAD LT drawing area when no objects are selected
• Within the AutoCAD LT drawing area when one or more objects are selected
• Within the AutoCAD LT drawing area when a grip is selected
• Within the text and command windows
• During a PAN or ZOOM command
• On a toolbar

Shortcut menus typically include several options to

• Repeat the last command entered
• Cut and copy to the Clipboard and paste from the Clipboard
• Select a different PAN or ZOOM option
• Display a dialog box such as Preferences, Object Properties, or Toolbars
• Undo the last command entered

Except during PAN and ZOOM, no shortcut menu is displayed when you right-click during an AutoCAD LT command. Instead, right-clicking ends the command. Also, if text has been entered on the command line, a right-click will automatically execute the text as a command and will not display the right-click menu.
