Formatting Individual Words or Characters

To format characters in multiline text

  1. From the Draw menu, choose Paragraph Text.
  2. Specify the text boundary location and other properties as needed.
  3. In the Multiline Text Editor dialog box, create text. 
  4. Choose the Character tab.
  5. Select text as follows:
  6. Using the Character tab, change formatting as follows:

    Note: If you are working with a white background color, your Windows system palette is set to greater than 256 colors, and you have selected Smooth Edges of Screen Fonts from the Plus! tab in Windows Control Panel, characters with angular lines (such as X) that are entered in the Multiline Text Editor dialog box may appear grayed out. To correct this problem, set your Windows system palette to 256 colors or clear Smooth Edges of Screen Fonts.


  7. Choose OK.
