You can create text in the Multiline Text Editor dialog box, on the command line, or an alternate text editor, or you can insert text from a file saved in ASCII format. The Multiline Text Editor dialog box provides a quick way to set both properties that affect the entire text object and formats that affect only selected text.
Before creating multiline text, you must define the width of the paragraph. When text entry is complete, AutoCAD LT inserts the text entered in the dialog box within this width limit. The length of the multiline text object depends on the amount of text, not the length of the boundary box you use to specify the width.
As you create multiline text, you also set the text style and justification.
You can override the current text style by applying formatting such as underlining, boldface, and different fonts to individual characters. You can also create stacked text.
