Adding Content to Drawings

Content Explorer provides convenient access to three types of sources for adding content to your drawing:

• Existing block definitions in the current drawing
• External drawing files for either insertion as blocks or attachment as xrefs
• Block definitions in other drawing files (library drawings)

When you want to use Content Explorer as a palette for adding content quickly, use drag and drop. When you need to specify the precise location, rotation, and scale of the content, use double-clicking.

For additional options when attaching external references, use XREF.
