Extracting Block Attribute Data (Advanced)

To extract attribute information

1. At the Command prompt, enter ddattext.
2. In the Attribute Extraction dialog box, select the appropriate file format.
3. Choose Select Objects. Use the pointing device to select the objects to extract attributes from. Enter all to select all objects in the drawing.
4. In the Attribute Extraction dialog box, enter the template file to use. To select from a list of files, choose Attribute Template File.
5. In the Output File box, enter a name for the attribute extraction file.

   This name should differ from the attribute extraction template file name, or you will overwrite the template file. To select from a list of existing attribute extraction files, choose Output File.
   

6. Choose OK.
