The settings under Additional Parameters in the Print/Plot Configuration dialog box control how you specify the area of the drawing that will be printed. Other settings control processing and printing options for several types of AutoCAD LT objects.
In model space, the options apply to the current viewport. If you are in paper space, the options apply to the paper space view.
For any drawing, you can specify what portion will be printed by choosing one of the following:
You can increase plotting speed by adjusting the appearance of Truetype and Type 1 fonts. You can control whether these text fonts are filled in or printed in outline form. You also can control the text font resolution, jagged to smooth, with the TEXTQLTY system variable. Decreasing the resolution makes the text appear more jagged.
If you are viewing a three-dimensional model created with AutoCAD surfaces or solids, or working with thickened objects, you also can specify whether to plot hidden lines.
The Hide Lines option affects all views in the current space. If you are plotting from paper space and want to hide lines within specific viewports, use the Hide/Plot option of MVIEW.
When you plot two-dimensional solids and wide polylines, AutoCAD LT uses the pen width value specified in the Pen Assignments dialog box. The pen normally aligns with the center of the object boundaries. To ensure greater accuracy, you can use the Adjust Area Fill option to move the pen inward by half a pen width. Use this option for drawings, such as circuit diagrams, in which the plot must be accurate to half the pen width.
