PREVIEW Command

Shows how the drawing will look when it is printed or plotted

File menu: Print Preview
Command line: preview

Press ESC or ENTER to exit, right-click to access the Print Preview pop-up menu, which offers additional preview options.


AutoCAD LT displays the preview, and the cursor changes to a magnifying glass with plus (+) and minus (-) signs. Dragging the cursor toward the top of the screen enlarges the preview image. Dragging toward the bottom of the screen reduces the preview image.

PREVIEW displays a full-page preview of the current drawing. The preview is based on the current plot configuration, as defined by the PLOT command.

Print Preview Menu

Controls Print Preview options. To access this menu, right-click in the preview area.

Exit

Exits Print Preview.

Plot

Prints or plots the drawing as it displays in the full-sheet preview, then exits Print Preview.

Pan

Displays a hand cursor you can use to pan the preview image. Hold the pick button and drag the cursor in any direction. The pan cursor stays active until you select Zoom again.

Zoom

Displays a magnifying glass cursor you can use to enlarge or reduce the preview image. To enlarge the image, hold the pick button and drag the cursor toward the top of the screen. To reduce the image, hold the pick button and drag the cursor toward the bottom of the screen.

Zoom Window

Zooms to display a specified window. Zoom Window works with both the zoom cursor and the pan cursor.

Zoom Previous

Restores the initial full-sheet preview. Zoom Previous works with both the zoom cursor and the pan cursor.
