Using Coordinate Filters

When a command such as CIRCLE or LINE prompts for a point, enter .x, .y, or .z to indicate which coordinate value you want to specify.

Specifying a coordinate filter limits the next entry to a specific coordinate value, such as the X or the Y value, or even an X,Y value. (For 3D points, you also can specify Z values.) After you specify the first value, AutoCAD LT prompts for the remaining coordinate values.

When two of the three coordinate filters have been specified, the third value may be entered as a numeric value.

Coordinate filters work only when AutoCAD LT prompts you for a point. If you try to use a coordinate filter at the Command prompt, AutoCAD LT displays an error message.
