Creating Dimension Styles

To create a parent dimension style

  1. From the Dimension menu, choose Style.
  2. In the Dimension Styles dialog box, enter a dimension style name in the Name box, and choose Save.
  3. Choose Geometry to define the appearance of the dimension line, extension lines, arrowheads, and center marks or lines, and the scale of the dimension.
  4. Choose Format to define the positioning of the dimension text.
  5. Choose Annotation to define the primary and alternate units, tolerances, text style, gap, color, and rounding-off value.
  6. In the Dimension Styles dialog box, select Save to save your changes to the new dimension style. Then choose OK.
