Changing Layer Assignments and Layer Properties

To rename a layer

1. On the Object Properties toolbar, choose Layer.
2. In the Layer & Linetype Properties dialog box under Name, select a layer to rename.
3. To expand the dialog box, choose Details.
4. Enter the new name in the Name box.
5. Choose OK.
