Managing Layer Visibility in a Layout

To freeze or thaw layers in all viewports

1. Make sure that you are in floating model space.
2. On the status bar, MODEL is on and TILE is off.
3. On the Object Properties toolbar, choose Layer.
4. In the Layer & Linetype Properties dialog box in the third column, Freeze/Thaw in All Viewports, click the icon.

   You can select a range of layers to freeze or thaw by pressing SHIFT as you click.
   

5. Press OK.
