Managing Layer Visibility in a Layout

To freeze or thaw layers in the current viewport

1. Make sure that you are in floating model space.
2. On the status bar, MODEL is on and TILE is off.
3. Click inside a floating viewport to make it current.
4. On the Object Properties toolbar, click the Layer Control list box.
5. In the third column from the left, click the Freeze/Thaw in Current Viewports icon.
6. Click anywhere outside the Layer Control.
